St. Edwards Secondary School - May Park, Freetown
A new chapter begins at St. Edwards Secondary School. United by Edwardians across the globe, we are restoring our Alma Mater through modern learning spaces, inspired teaching, and a renewed commitment to student success. Here, young minds are shaped into leaders, grounded in character, driven by purpose, and prepared for the world.
Welcome to St. Edwards Secondary School
Founded in 1922 by the Catholic Mission, St. Edwards Secondary School stands among Sierra Leone’s premier institutions of learning. Located at historic May Park in Freetown, within the birthplace of Western education in Africa, St. Edwards has shaped generations of leaders in government, medicine, engineering, education, athletics, arts, and community service.
Today, through the Joint Chapter Consolidated Modernization Project (JCCMP) and the Edwardian Million-Dollar Endowment Initiative, alumni and partners worldwide are working together to renew our campus, strengthen faculty, and expand opportunities for every student.
This is more than modernization. This is rebirth!
