Strategic Planning
Rebuilding Excellence Through Purposeful Planning
In the summer of 2022, St. Edward’s Secondary School began its first comprehensive goal-setting effort in decades; the Joint Chapter Consolidated Modernization Project (JCCMP).
This Strategic Plan represents the collective resolve of Edwardian alumni and partners who believe deeply in the future of our Alma Mater. Guided by lessons learned over generations, we are committed to restoring St. Edward’s as a world-class institution that prepares students for leadership, service, and success.
This is a student-first strategy, designed to strengthen learning today while securing sustainability for tomorrow.
Our Strategic Foundation
Our plan is grounded in a simple truth:
Rebirth begins with the student. Legacy follows.
Every initiative within the Strategic Plan is aligned to support student growth while building long-term institutional strength. The plan reflects responsibility for self and school, commitment to truth and character, and stewardship of May Park.

Six Strategic Pillars
The Strategic Plan focuses on six interconnected areas:
Academics
Strengthening curriculum, instruction, and learning resources to ensure rigorous, relevant, and engaging education.
Character
Developing students of integrity guided by respect, honesty, responsibility, service, and leadership.
Faculty
Attracting, developing, and retaining dedicated educators through professional development, mentorship, and support.
Campus
Modernizing classrooms, laboratories, athletic fields, utilities, and shared spaces to create a safe and inspiring learning environment.
Resources
Building sustainable financial systems—anchored by the Edwardian Endowment—to support operations, programs, and future growth.
Community
Strengthening partnerships among students, families, alumni, and neighbors to foster shared ownership of the school’s success.
Together, these pillars form a holistic approach to student achievement and institutional renewal.
Alumni Leadership & Governance
Edwardian alumni play a central role in shaping and advancing the Strategic Plan through financial contributions, organizational leadership, and long-term planning.
The Board of Trustees and Steering Committees provide oversight, guidance, and accountability—ensuring transparency, measurable progress, and alignment with the school’s mission.
This collaborative model unites alumni, administrators, faculty, and community partners around shared goals and clear outcomes.
From Vision to Action
The Strategic Plan guides:
• Campus rehabilitation and facility upgrades
• Faculty development and instructional excellence
• Student programs and wellness initiatives
• Resource management and Endowment growth
• Operational standards and governance practices
By capturing the current “as-is” state and mapping a clear path to the desired “to-be” future, the plan enables disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
