Founding Donors Roll

Edwardian Crest_FINAL 2.jpg

This page honors the Edwardians and friends who stepped forward at the formative stage of the Edwardian Endowment; those whose early belief, commitment, and discipline transformed an idea into an institution.

Founding donors are not recognized merely for giving; they are recognized for leading at the moment leadership was required.

The Founding Moment

In the years following the Centennial Celebration of St. Edwards Secondary School, Edwardians across the globe answered a renewed call to responsibility.

Out of reflection came resolve; out of resolve came action.

Before formal nonprofit status; before public recognition; before permanence was assured—these donors committed resources, trust, and leadership to establish the financial foundation of the Edwardian Endowment.

Their service marks the beginning of a generational covenant.

Definition of a Founding Donor

A Founding Donor is defined as an individual, family, or group who contributed financially to the Edwardian Endowment during its formative phase, prior to or during the establishment of its formal governance structure and initial capitalization.

Founding Donor recognition is:

•    Permanent;
•    Non-transferable;
•    Recorded as part of the Endowment’s historical archive.

This recognition reflects courage; foresight; and belief in the future of St. Edwards Secondary School.

Relationship to the Five-Year Commitment Plan

Many Founding Donors also participate in the Five-Year Commitment Plan and are recognized accordingly within their donor category.

Founding Donor status is distinct from donor tier recognition. It reflects when service was given; not only how much.

Both recognitions may be held concurrently.

A Legacy Recorded

The Founding Donors Roll stands as a permanent record of responsibility accepted and leadership exercised.

Long after buildings are renovated and classrooms renewed, this record will remain—documenting those who chose permanence over postponement; action over nostalgia; stewardship over delay.

Institutions endure because someone begins.

The Edwardian Endowment exists because Founding Donors stepped forward when it mattered most.

For this, St. Edwards Secondary School—and generations yet unborn—remain grateful.

Once an Edwardian; always an Edwardian.
From first commitment to lasting covenant; from foundation to future.
